Shucked Surf & Turf Shack will host a fundraising day March 30, which will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Arkansas Division.
The restaurant will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to the division in honor of area children and adults who are battling blood cancers and those who are cancer survivors.
LLS Campaign Manager Kimberly Dupas said the money raised will stay in Arkansas for blood cancer patients and research.
Dupas said LLS hosts a Man and Woman of the Year who want to give back to the company.
“There are seven men and seven women competing for the title,” she said. “Fundraising is a big part of this. Whoever can raise the most for their group, they will be named Man or Woman of the Year.”
Dupas said there will be a gala April 21, to reveal the person who raised the most.
“The money raised at Shucked is a part of a group that is raising money for the cause,” she said.
All money raised March 30 at Shucked will benefit cancer research and patients in the state.
