Seats available for Harbor Home fundraiser

The Harbor Home for Women will host a fundraiser and awareness event called The Power of Change at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Conway Cowboy Church complete with a barbecue dinner and a silent auction.

“We are so excited that our city and county judges, law enforcement and the mayor of Conway are attending,” Executive Director Dana Davin-Ward said. “Our goal is to reach out to the community to let people know who we are and that we are here to help.”

Attendees are invited to tour the Harbor Home for Women during an open house from 4-5:15 p.m. prior to the dinner.

The home is a faith-based community that provides training and assistance to the residents.

The programs are designed for women “whose lives are in crisis due to addiction or other behavior and lifestyle struggles,” spokesman Debra Rigdon said.

“This year we plan to expand and to be able to triple our capacity in the home,” Davin-Ward said. “Exciting things are happening at The Harbor.”

Tickets are $25 each and can be bought at www.eventbrite.com/e/the-power-of-change-celebrating-the-harbor-home-for-women-tickets-27026507010 or by calling Davin-Ward at 501-940-7799.
