• April 3-4 — The Faulkner County Library and UCA present a free two-day “zine”-making workshop at the library, 1900 Tyler St. This free workshop will provide a hands-on tutorial in creating a zine, or mini magazine, by folding a single sheet of paper and using text, drawing or collage to share your own ideas and experiences. The focus of the workshop will be on using zines to express what you believe it means to be a citizen. Zines produced at the workshop will be displayed at a Zinefest at UCA Downtown from 3-6 p.m. April 14. The workshop is appropriate for both adults and children (with supervision), and materials will be provided. • Sally Barris returns to the Faulkner County Library, 1900 Tyler St., at 7 p.m. for a free concert. Barris is an A-list Nashville songwriter who has had songs covered by such top-level artists as Kathy Mattea, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack. Her song “Let The Wind Chase You,” recorded by Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban, received a Grammy nomination for vocal collaboration in 2009. All library events are free and open to the public.
