LITTLE ROCK — Little Rock airport officials say 19 flights have been canceled after up to six inches of snow and sleet fell across central Arkansas.

Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport spokesman Shane Carter said Thursday at the airport is open and the taxiways have been cleared.

Delta Airlines has canceled flights until 8:30 a.m. and United Airlines has canceled flights until 10:30 a.m. Southwest Airlines has canceled flights until 11 a.m.

The National Weather Service reports snowfall in the area should stop by about noon. Freezing temperatures are projected to linger until Saturday afternoon.
