The University of Central Arkansas has canceled the Bear Facts Day planned for Friday. A decision regarding the possible cancelation of UCA classes will be made Friday morning.

A wintry mix is indeed on the outlook for today, according to the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in Little Rock.
A chance of snow is expected before 4 a.m., then a chance of sleet. A low around 22 is forecast. Total snow and sleet accumulation overnight may be less than a half-inch. A freezing rain and winter weather advisory is in effect for Central Arkansas.
The city of Conway Sanitation Department is anticipating tomorrow’s routes to run as scheduled. Officials will be watching the possibility of forecasted weather should it effect the roadways, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
“If our routes do happen to be altered from inclement weather in the morning we will post notice,” the agency said.
As of 4 p.m. Thursday, Central Baptist College will continue with Homecoming events as scheduled. Bear Facts Day at the University of Central Arkansas will continue as scheduled on Friday. Area school districts and colleges reported to the Log Cabin on Thursday at press time that decisions would be made around 6 a.m. for delays and closings. The NWS is calling for sleet before 1 p.m. Friday, then freezing rain is likely. A high near 34 is forecast, and chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Friday night, periods of rain and a temp of around 40 degrees is expected by 5 a.m. Chance of rain is 100 percent.
