FFO Home will establish a new store next to Country Inn and Suites and across from Buffalo Wild Wings on Amity Road. The retailer will occupy a newly constructed site that totals 30,115 square feet, according to Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development.
Clint Bailey with Newmark Grubb Arkansas represented the seller, Nabholz Properties, Inc., in this transaction. Nabholz Properties, Inc. sold two .57-acre parcels of land to P&H Investments, LLC for $490,000 in a $980,000 transaction in May.
FFO Home normally occupies existing retail space so this rare development project will yield a more usable result for the company and the community, Haag Brown Commercial said in a news release.
Site work and construction is set to begin on the 1.14-acre site in the next couple weeks with the hope of completing the project near years end. The building will front Amity Road and be visible from I-40, which has daily traffic counts of more than 48,000 cars per day, the news release said.
“FFO Home is a great company comprised of over 33 stores in five states. Our company has dealt with a number of different organizations through the years and have been thoroughly impressed by FFO Home’s concept,” said Haag Brown Commercial Co-Owner & Principal Greg Haag.
FFO Home is described to provide only top quality furniture and accessories from the most recognized manufacturers in the industry. They are able to offer their merchandise 30-50 percent below their competition based on their ability to purchase “one-of-a-kind” product overruns, buy factory direct products at close out prices and keep the cost of operations low, the company says.
“To say we like the area FFO Home chose as its new home is an understatement. Their site is at the epicenter of Conway’s retail market. We developed the Buffalo Wild Wings project across the street and are actively involved in the development taking place on the former skating rink site on Oak Street. FFO Home will not only contribute to the high quality of tenants occupying this market, but will add revenues from construction, new jobs and annual tax dollars on gross sales,” said Haag Brown Commercial Co-Owner & Principal Joshua Brown.
