New Beginning Church
Our message Sunday morning was titled “Why” taken from 1 Corinthians 10:25-31. Verse 29-30: Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other, for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience. For if by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
It would still be lawful for you to eat of meat sacrificed to idols, as an idol is nothing, but if it is so sacrificed then it must be recognized that it is in honor of devils and for this reason you have to refuse to partake. You would be a stumbling block to a weak brother or a heathen who perhaps knows the stand of Christianity. If you are not true to your own religion and convictions, how can you win the other man to Christ? As Christians, we have an obligation to be like Jesus so that others will see and know.
You cannot be just a Christian on Sunday and not be one through the week. We all have a choice and you cannot be lukewarm. Lukewarm people will not make it to heaven. Revelation 3:16: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
We want to wish Nancy McNew, Ann Veazey and Sharon Watts a happy and blessed birthday, and a happy anniversary to Mike and Techler Clark.
We have been praying for people who have diabetes and we have had many touched and healed. We also have on our prayer list, Darrell Watts and his son Jerry, Sharon Watts, Ann Veazey, Bobby and Nancy McNew, Techler Clark, James Lindsey Jr. Reagan and many others who need a touch. We serve a big God and He loves to hear from us.
