Scott L. Champlin of Conway is seeking the Zone 5 seat with the Conway School District’s Board of Education.
Champlin is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Memphis with degrees in History and Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis’ Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Before attending college, Champlin was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving four years as an Airborne Ranger. He was wounded during combat in Panama and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Champlin is employed by Snap-on Equipment of Conway. He also serves on the Conway Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Central Arkansas Workforce Investment Board, and is a member of Second Baptist Church. He and his wife, Andrea, are the parents of Annabel, 5, Andrew, 3, and Adam, 2.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to run for this position, and will be proud to continue the legacy of our School Board in doing ‘Whatever It Takes’ to improve the Conway school system” Champlin said.
