Beginning at 11 a.m., How Do You Roll in the Village at Hendrix is celebrating international Sushi Day by giving away a free Cali Roll with any purchase.
The HDYR Cali Roll consists of a seaweed wrap, white or brown rice, krabstick, avocado, cucumber and sesame seeds.
Customers can also pose with their roll and share their photo using the hashtag #ShushiDay on any of HDYR's social media sites for a chance to win a gift card.
How Do You Roll? was founded in Austin, Texas in 2008 by brothers Yuen and Peter Yung as the first fast- casual, customizable sushi restaurant.
The franchise gained national popularity after the brothers appeared on the reality TV series Shark Tank in 2013.
The Conway location opened about a month ago in the Village at Hendrix, 1700 Altus St., Suite 105, next to Monrow Boutique and Hendrix College Bookstore Village Books.
The Conway location is the first in the franchise to include a full bar. Professional mixologists created ten signature drinks exclusively for the restaurant such as Ninja-Tini, Sake Spiked Lemonade and Samurai Whiskey Sour.
The menu allows customers to customize their sushi roll with fresh vegetables and fruits, meats and seafood and sauce and toppings.
In addition to International Sushi Day, HDYR at the Village is now hosting zenhour Monday-Friday from 4-7 p.m. with specials on signature bar drinks and select appetizers, cones and rolls.
The Village at Hendrix location is owned and operated by Rock Roll, LLC.
