ArkansasIDEAS launches redesigned website

Posted: June 17, 2014 - 7:10am

The Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) have newly redesigned ArkansasIDEAS website, ideas.aetn.org. The new design will make the resources available from AETN and ArkansasIDEAS easier to navigate.

AETN works side by side with the ADE to provide teachers with quality, online, ADE-approved professional development and educational resources for K-12 educators through ArkansasIDEAS. More than half a million credit hours have been earned by Arkansas educators since ArkansasIDEAS was created in 2006.

Administrators can use the portal to organize professional learning communities and assign specific professional development to individuals or groups within their organizations.

Schools have been using the online portal for child maltreatment mandated reporter training, Arkansas History, training for coaches, and parental involvement. However, the portal is also beneficial for specific content areas like foreign languages and fine arts.

Resources available from AETN include websites devoted to Common Core State Standards implementation, STEM professional development and TESS support. ArkansasIDEAS offers face-to-face trainings, webinars, and mobile labs for checkout. AETN supports education with early childhood education support and access to online resources like AETN PBSLearningMedia.
