Entergy has notified Conway Corporation that the possibility of local electric load curtailments due to damage caused by the April 27 tornado has been lifted.
According to Conway Corporation Power Supply and Major Accounts Director George Heintzen, Entergy has made sufficient repairs to the Mayflower transmission substation and transmission lines to lift the threat of curtailment.
“The tornado that hit Faulkner County caused significant damage to the electric transmission system in the area,” said Conway Corporation CEO Richard Arnold.
“Entergy is the transmission owner and we sincerely appreciate the extraordinary effort they have made in effecting these repairs.”
“Our Conway Corporation staff followed our emergency power conservation and curtailment guide to ensure that we were prepared in case of curtailments.
“We are pleased that curtailments were not necessary,” Arnold said.
