Church Corner May 31

Holland Baptist Church

Much has happened at Holland Baptist Church since last I wrote. We enjoyed a wonderful homecoming reconnecting with many from the past. The kitchen crew, under the leadership of Nina Johnston, did an outstanding job. The Mercy River Boys blessed us with their music in the afternoon. We celebrated Mother’s Day the following Sunday. I was blessed to have my daughter and granddaughter, Carla, Hannah, and Hope White who provided the special music for worship.

Our Wednesday night activities for children and youth will continue when school is out for the summer. A different format will be in place with more fun activities. On Wednesday night, June 4, we will have an end of school fun night beginning at 5:30.

VBS is scheduled for June 16-20. Several of our children are registered to attend children’s camp at Cold Springs June 23-27. The men and boys from the youth group have a camping/fishing trip planned for next week. The summer is packed with activities. We welcome new children and youth. We’re thankful for the visitors we’ve been having.

Brother Chad Brandon preaches and teaches the Word of God. If you’re hungry to hear the Word join us for worship Sunday at 11 a.m., 6 p.m., and Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Sunday, June 1, is the deadline to turn in recipes for the church cookbook being compiled. It is also the deadline for the Life Choice baby bottles to be turned in.

May God bless you as you worship Him this week.
