Homecoming and Singing at Oak Bowery Baptist

The Annual Homecoming and Singing at Oak Bowery Baptist Church will be held at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, May 25.

A potluck lunch will be served at noon, followed by singing in the afternoon.

Marty Phillips of Jeffress/Phillips Music Company in Crossett, Ark., will be in charge of the program.

The new Singing Convention song books will be used for the event.

The annual Oak Bowery Cemetery offering will also be collected.

Praise in the Park

Eastside Baptist Church will be sponsoring Praise in the Park featuring the Mercy River Boys at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 25, at Toad Suck Park Pavilion #2.

Eastside Baptist Church is located at 1735 E. Oak St.

‘Mortgage Burning Celebration’

The Bread of Heaven Ministry located at 317 St. Joseph Street in Morrilton, Ark., will be having a “Mortgage Burning Celebration,” at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 25.

Pastor Timothy Smith from the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in North Little Rock will be the guest speaker. Pastor William Forté will bring words of inspiration. The host pastor is Bishop Jerry Bradden Sr.

The public is invited to attend.

Memorial Day Ceremony

A Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26, at the site of the Naylor Veterans Memorial on the Naylor United Methodist Church grounds, 11 miles north of Hwy. 64 on Hwy. 36.

A pie auction will follow the ceremony at 11 a.m. Pie donations will be accepted.
