The University of Central Arkansas Bears are preparing for their sixth consecutive trip to the Southland Conference Baseball Tournament this week at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas.

At the Museum of Veterans and Military History in Vilonia, there are many patches. Some were on the uniforms of soldiers who served. Others are spares and some weren’t designed to be on a military uniform. There are patches representative of every military branch.

Greenbrier Neighborhood Walmart no longer 24-hour

The Walmart Neighborhood Market in Greenbrier is changing their store hours starting Monday, May 22, 2017. 

The store is going from being open 24-hours, to being open 6 a.m. to midnight.

According to one of the store's employees, this decision came from the corporate office. ...

Tim Hooten, who led Quitman to the 2A girls basketball state title this season, will be the guest speaker at Monday's monthly Arkansas Sports Club luncheon at The Chinatown Restaurant.

BBQ skills pay off in fiery competition

Noah-Luke Smith recently competed in the the 4-H District Poultry BBQ Contest in Little Rock and won second place. He scored 252 points out of a possible of 300 points. Some of the point values the judges graded him on were controlling the fire, preparing for cooking, skill in barbecuing, appearance of meat, and 50 points for the taste.
