Hendrix College named Dr. Terri L. Bonebright as the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost of the College.
Following the footsteps of 12-year Hendrix College chief academic officer, Dr. Robert L. Entzminger, a faculty committee and the Hendrix President-elect Dr. Bill Tsutsui selected Bonebright. After the national search, Bonebright was found to be the best candidate.
Bonebright served as Dean of Faculty and Professor of Psychology at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, prior to her appointment at Hendrix.
“A gifted administrator, professor and researcher, Dr. Bonebright understands the role and the soul of a liberal arts college,” said President Tsutsui. “We are very fortunate to have someone of her caliber and character in this critical role.” Bonebright is an alumna of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and German in 1990, her master’s degree in psychology in 1992, and doctorate in psychology and quantitative methods in 1996. Alongside her impressive academic success she has over 40 publications and has spoken in over 50 conferences. “I am honored to be joining the Hendrix community and excited about working with President Tsutsui, the faculty, students and staff,” said Bonebright. “This is an exciting time for Hendrix College, and I am delighted to be part of the next chapter in its history.” Bonebright will begin her Hendrix appointment in July 2014.
