GIVING TREE GRANTS

SPRING 2014

Bethlehem House — Grant to help fund the job assistance program for impoverished and homeless to become employed and work towards self-sufficiency.

Blackbird Academy of Arts — Grant to fund a multi-disciplinary summer arts camp for at-risk children in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Club.

Boys & Girls Club of Faulkner County — Grant to help fund a reading library for academic success for underprivileged children at Boys & Girls Club.

Children’s Advocacy Alliance (including Child Advocacy Center and CASA) — Grant to support the continued expansion of medical and mental health services at the CAC center for child victims of abuse, especially sexual assault.

City of Hope Outreach — Grant to grow and operate the community education program, Hope Inspiring Minds, serving the Brookside Village trailer park community.

Community Action Program for Central Arkansas — Grant to help low income individuals gain knowledge and experience in employment seeking skills.

Community Connections — Grant to provide extra-curricular activities for kids with special needs and a Resource Center for the families, especially kids with autism.

Conway Cradle Care — Grant to support Early Childhood Education Resources Closet/Teacher Training for the infants, toddlers and teen parent clients.

Conway EcoFest — Grant to fund the Museum of Discovery’s exhibits to come to EcoFest.

Conway Interfaith Clinic — Grant to partially fund the Patient Assistance Program, providing maintenance prescription medications for needy patients.

Faulkner County Council on Aging — Grant to provide matching funds to qualify for a bus to transport senior adults to “life necessary” destinations.

Faulkner County SPCA — Grant to fund tractor/bush hog to keep up facilities to care for abused and neglected horses, donkeys and other hoof animal brought by law enforcement agencies.

Independent Living Services — Grant to purchase chairs for the cafeteria serving consumers age 18-62 with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

La Lucha Space — Grant to fund inventory or perishable goods/fresh produce to connect low-income families with fresh healthy food.

Mount Vernon Baptist Food Pantry — Grant to fund purchase of food for the Mount Vernon community and surrounding areas.

PHO Foundation of Hope — Grant to provide holiday gifts for 40 underprivileged children in Faulkner County.

Pine Street Community Development Center, Inc. — Grant to provide school supplies for the Back-to-School Backpack Program serving K-12 children in Faulkner County.

FISCAL YEAR 2014

Conway Regional Health Foundation — Grant to grow extra-curricular activities and nutritional programs that combat childhood obesity.

Arkansas Preschool Plus — Grant to provide books for the Imagination Library program — 1041 children.

Soul Food Cafe Mission — Grant to fund Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and food boxes.

UCA Foundation/Girls of Power in STEM — Funding for Girls of Power Conference, promoting STEM to eighth grade girls.

United Way of Central Arkansas — Grant to fund a 5K run with proceeds going to Faulkner County school districts to be used for athletic programs and equipment to help combat childhood obesity.
