Schedule, categories set for Toad Suck Challenge

Posted: April 18, 2014 - 3:24pm

LITTLE ROCK — Arvest Bank, along with Crain Buick, GMC, Kia, are sponsoring a brand new competition during the annual Toad Suck Daze Festival held in downtown Conway May 2-4.

The event is an athletic competition where teams and individuals will compete for prizes and trophies on an inflatable obstacle course. The Arvest/Crain competition will make the event even more exciting by featuring categories where political candidates and local media personalities can compete for trophies. There will also be an open category with a $5,000 cash prize.

Lori Melton, Arvest central Arkansas vice president of business development, said, “We’re thrilled to be sponsoring such a fun and challenging event during Toad Suck Daze. We have been a part of the Conway community for more than 30 years, so it just makes sense that we would participate in one of the best festivals in the area.”

The Arvest/Crain Challenge will feature multiple categories including individual political, individual media and individual non-profit where politicians, media personalities and representatives of area non-profits all compete within their category for trophies and cash prizes.

Other categories include individual male and female and corporate teams. There will also be the Daze Dash, which is an open individual category with a $5,000 cash prize. To compete in the Dash, contestants can register at any central Arkansas Arvest or Crain location in the two weeks prior to the event or at toadsuckchallenge.com or by phone at 501-513-4544.

A race

I want to see Andy Shock and Joe Taylor run a race around one city block. I think the results would be a good indicator of how the polls will turn out!

It's

It's not stuck on a truck and political candidates would be smart to avoid being embaressed in public like this. It one thing to race roads, it's another to actually lose a contest. They should maybe do "Stuck with this tree" and first one to take hand off gets it.

No way Zeck

The City and developers are already taking away the green as fast as they can. With the terrible drainage system Conway has in place major flooding in some areas is in our future.
