Showers and storms will move across the state Sunday night as a powerful cold front sweeps into the state. There could be a few strong to severe thunderstorms with wind and hail the main threats. We can't rule out completely an isolated tornado.
A few showers will linger Monday with falling temperatures. A freeze warning is in effect for much of central and northern Arkansas Tuesday morning as near record low temperatures move in.
Look for readings in the upper 20s and lower 30s across much of the state. Freezing temperatures can also be expected again Wednesday morning, then a warm up will begin.
Rain chances will return on Friday and again on Sunday.
