Church Corner April 12

Posted: April 11, 2014 - 3:52pm

Holland Baptist Church

We were blessed to have Brother John Evans Jr., wife, Susan, and daughter, Loren, in our service Sunday night. Brother John preached in Brother Chad’s absence. He was away preaching in revival services Sunday night through Wednesday night. Jim Johnston lead the Wednesday night Bible study.

Some of our children and youth blessed us with their singing on the Fifth Sunday night singing. The congregation was happy for the opportunity to select songs they enjoyed. Brother Chad Brandon, David Garrett, TeJohn and Betsy Petty, and I sung a couple of songs as well. We enjoyed sweet fellowship and food after singing.

The men’s monthly fellowship breakfast is planned for April 13. They always meet and eat at 7:30 a.m. I hear lots of comments about the great food and good cooks.

A night of fun and games with an Easter theme is planned for Wednesday night April 16. Betsy Petty is director of Wednesday night activities. Parents are encouraged to join their children for this special time.

We look forward to having Brother Chad back to preach Sunday morning. The monthly business meeting is scheduled for Sunday night.

Several senior adults will be enjoying Spring Time Jubilee April 16-18 in Branson, Mo.

Everyone is invited to Easter Sunrise Service in Holland City Park at the pavilion April 20 at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast at the church will follow at 8:30. Sunday school and church services will follow the regular schedule. There will be no evening service.

We’re so thankful Bobie Hendrickson has been able to attend Sunday school and church the last two Sundays. We continue to pray for her and many others. Marsha Brown, Shelley Brandon, Mary Shannon, Tim Brewer and family, Wanda Rose, and Brother Chad are among those.

We would welcome your presence in our congregation any time.
