Author coming to Faulkner County Library

April is the National Child Abuse Prevention month, and writer-poet Turjemia will be featured in the  Author Showcase at the Faulkner County Library on Saturday, April 26, at 2 p.m.

Turjemia penned her first novel, “Betraying Ayanna” as a story inspired from real life experiences. “Betraying Ayanna” explores the pain of living with abuse, and the courage to forgive and move forward to a fulfilling life.

Turjemia is a dedicated spoken-word artist, novelist and blogger. She discovered her passion for creative writing at the age of 12, and published her novel through High Tide Publications, a book publishing company in Deltaville Va. “Betraying Ayanna” is available for purchase online, as well as Hastings Bookstore. The event is free and open to the public.
