The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office will hold a candlelight vigil for the late Deputy Hans Fifer Tuesday marking the one-year anniversary of his death.
Fifer, 32, of Mayflower died of heart complications after completing SWAT team tryouts at DARC training facility in North Little Rock last year.
Fifer joined FCSO in January of 2013, and he had previously worked as a reserve deputy with the department. He worked as a patrolman with the Cabot Police Department, where he received his training and certification.
The vigil is planned for 7:30 p.m. in front of the Faulkner County Courthouse, 801 Locust St., at the law enforcement memorial.
Fifer’s name was added to the memorial last fall.
The public is invited to the event.
