Congressional candidate French Hill talks issues with local business leaders

Posted: April 3, 2014 - 5:16pm

Republican candidate for the 2nd Congressional District French Hill talks local issues at lunch with area business leaders and the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce in a stop through Conway Thursday.

Hill, who faces opponents in the Republican primary in May, is vying for Rep. Tim Griffin's seat.

Hill is CEO of Delta Trust and Bank and says he's "not a politician," but a conservative business leader supporting fiscal responsibility and policies that favor the business sector.

Let me see if I understand ...

The LCD will cover an appearance by one candidate in a partisan race, but it won't cover an event where every single judicial candidate in contested races appeared since the event was sponsored by a partisan group? That's the paper's policy?

We regretted that we weren't

We regretted that we weren't able to make the event. Our entire staff was at the Chamber Annual Meeting during the forum.

I agree with GM. Poor planning on someone's part. Should have had at least one person on hand.

Hill is CEO of Delta Trust and Bank and says he's "not a politician,"
-I hate these claims. If you are running for congress, you are a politician.

but a conservative business leader supporting fiscal responsibility and policies that favor the business sector.
-I'll summarize, more tax breaks and loopholes for the wealthy. Cuz dat trickle down worx.

Politician is right

Republican candidates are politicians.
Democrat candidates are champions for the people.

CG I have never agreed with you more!

This is a country of people. Democrats work for the people and Republicans work for the money.

Funny.....

Keep seeing Hill's commercial about old blue(1998 Volvo) and how he hates spending money, but Pulaski County tax records show French Hill also owns a 2005 BMW and a 2007 Mercedes-Benz.
