Posted: March 31, 2014 - 3:43pm

A pre-dawn accident claimed the life of a pedestrian in Conway on Monday.

According to Chief of Police A.J. Gary, 59-year-old Clistie West of Conway appears at this point in the investigation to have been walking north along Harkrider Street, possibly in the roadway, when she was struck by a northbound vehicle at 6:01 a.m.

The accident happened near the intersection of 5th Street. West’s next-of-kin had been notified, Gary said.

The other night 3/30/14, I had just got off work at Midnight and came out onto Oak street near Kroger when I noticed a guy walking in the far right eastbound lane.

All I could think was why isn't this guy using a sidewalk.

not really sure if my memory is connected but thought I would post it anyway.
