Pedestrian killed in pre-dawn accident

A pre-dawn accident claimed the life of a pedestrian in Conway on Monday.

According to Chief of Police A.J. Gary, 59-year-old Clistie West of Conway appears at this point in the investigation to have been walking north along Harkrider Street, possibly in the roadway, when she was struck by a northbound vehicle at 6:01 a.m.

The accident happened near the intersection of 5th Street. West’s next-of-kin had been notified, Gary said.
