Today Kum & Go opens a second 5,000-square-foot convenience store located at the corner of Prince Street and Hogan Lane.
The family-owned company began in 1959, in Hampton, Iowa, and has grown to more than 420 convenience stores in 11 states including Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wyoming.
Today, Kum & Go is the fifth largest privately held, company-operated convenience store chain in the United States, employing 4,600 associates nationwide.
Conway’s first Kum & Go’s store opened last year on May 23 at 2050 Dave Ward Drive.
The convenience store chain is celebrating the grand opening of Conway’s second Kum & Go location at 4095 Prince St. with a week of discounted food and drink items.
Customers are invited to stop by the new store during opening week to enjoy $1 breakfast sandwiches, $1 fresh pizza slices and $1 roller grill items. Customers also will save on 32-ounce fountain drinks and small coffees, which are being offered for 25 cents each during opening week.
The new store is designed to provide fast and friendly service for customers, offering a wide array of freshly made-to-order pizzas, baked goods and breakfast and deli sandwiches – all prepared daily in Kum & Go’s onsite kitchen. Outside, a wide variety of fuel options give customers more value and choices at the pump, including diesel and E-85 fuel.
Kum & Go stores are saving energy and water through the company’s commitment to sustainable practices. The new Conway store has been designed, constructed and submitted for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED certification. Kum & Go currently has 70 LEED-certified stores, with 19 additional projects under construction — the most of any convenience retailer in the nation.
Kum & Go now has 43 stores throughout Arkansas. For more information about store locations, services and green initiatives, visit kumandgo.com. Customers can also find the latest promotions and news by “liking” Kum & Go on Facebook and following the convenience retailer on Twitter @kumandgo.
