Video: Taste of Home event coming to Conway April 26

Taste of Home’s culinary specialist Jamie Dunn will be at the University of Central Arkansas’ Reynolds Performance Hall on Saturday, April 26 to share her home cooking tips and tricks while demonstrating step-by-step recipes for the season’s best dishes. This event is brought to Conway by the Log Cabin Democrat and Women’s Inc. magazine.

All cooking school attendees will receive a gift bag including the Taste of Home Cooking School magazine and products from the national and local sponsors.

Attendees can enter for a chance to win one of many door prizes, including the recipes and dishes created onstage that night, gifts from local sponsors and an autographed book from Andrea Lennon of True Vine Ministry. A custom-framed and signed mixed media painting on canvas from local artist Vivian Noe Griffith will be a door prize at the event. The painting, entitled “Bon Appetit...y’all,” is valued at about $1,500.

Two levels of tickets are available:

1. VIP tickets are $35 each. VIP ticket holders will sit in premium seats as well as receive a Taste of Home cookbook, an apron from Tipton Kitchen Store & Equipment, as well as a backstage meet and greet with the culinary specialist before the show. 2. Reserved seats are $20 each and will all receive a gift bag containing local and national sponsor offers and a Taste of Home magazine.

Doors open at 4:45 p.m. when attendees will be encouraged to visit local sponsor booths in the lobby of Reynolds Performance Hall. Local supporters include Harp’s/Price Cutter, Conway Regional Health System, The Kitchen Store, Pasta Grill, Tipton Kitchen Store & Equipment, Haynes Ace Hardware, Cross Creek, Jazzercise and Taziki’s Mediterranean Café.
