The Conway/Morrilton Chapters of AFS — American Field Service — held their Annual Host Family Recognition Dinner at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrilton on March 9. Ten host families and their student attended. The AFS students helped serve the meal. Later they told about their home country and talked about the differences between Arkansas and their native country. The students presented certificates to their host parents in appreciation for hosting them this year.
The dinner was provided by the local GFWC Pathfinders, with Jana Virden, Kay Osborn and Anne Queen working in the kitchen. Many other club members helped provide the delicious meal.
There are many students coming to the USA for the 2014-15 school year from over 40 different countries.
