Mayflower Faces: Tracy Tidwell, realtor

Tracy Tidwell, ERA Henley Real Estate co-owner

What do you remember about the days surrounding the oil spill? When the oil spill happened I had clients looking for homes in the subdivision where the spill occurred. One buyer had to look elsewhere because they had a short buying time frame and couldn’t get financed due to appraisal issues.

What was your level of concern about the environmental damage? I was very concerned about the possible effect of the spill on Lake Conway since we sell homes in that area and we love having Lake Conway for fishing and boating.

How has your life been affected by this over the past year? My biggest challenge over the course of the year after the spill was addressing the fear of the unknown from my clients, lenders and appraisers.
