New Beginning Church

“The prince of power of the air (Satan).” This was as a great message from Pastor Bob Sunday. This message was taken from Ephesians 2:1-8 And you hath he made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins; In which in times past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience. Ephesians 4:25-27 Wherefore, putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor; for we are members one of another. Be ye angry and sin not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath; Neither give place to the devil.

Don’t be a child of disobedience but be a new man in Christ. All that is contrary to the Word of God is sin.

We are praying for a very special lady, who is having a bad time with her leg, and is having to stay off it for awhile. Sister Charlene Patrick we miss you and we are praying for you. We are also praying for the Rose Schwarz family who has lost a sister and for Lue Bakker who was put in the hospital last night, and for many more family members and friends.

“In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma-but never let him be the period, give Satan an inch and he’ll be a ruler.”

Holland Baptist Church

I’m excited about all God is doing at Holland Baptist Church! Brother Chad Brandon continues to deliver great messages straight from The Word. He’s preaching from Ephesians 6 on the armor needed in the spiritual warfare in which we engage daily. We’re encouraged to study and live the Word. We’re also being called into a deeper prayer life. We want to progress to new heights in our spiritual journey.

Sixteen ladies met in our home last week to begin the study on prayer by Kay Arthur. The study is being facilitated by Kellie Martin. This week several met in the home of Howard and Diane Cummings for prayer and getting a vision of what God wants from His servants at Holland Baptist Church. We were lead by Brother Chad.

The fundraising pancake breakfast prepared by the youth and older children under the direction of Diane Cummings was a huge success. Many came to be served delicious pancakes, waffles, tasty sweet fruit etc. The kids did a great job serving everyone and the fellowship was wonderful. Part of the money raise will be used to fund the trip to Winter Jam at Verizon Arena.

The younger Wednesday night kids sung for the Sunday morning worship service. They did a great job! We have a super bunch of kids with the number continuing to grow on Wednesday nights. We praise God for all He does. The ladies will meet at the home of Diane Cummings Monday night to continue the study on prayer arriving at 5:45 for food and fellowship and 6:15 to begin the study.

We praise God for the healing taking place with David Garrett. He was able to lead the music in worship the last two Sundays. He is walking much better also. We appreciate him.

We’re still praying for many who have had surgery, are facing surgery, or have other health issues. Mary Shannon, Shelley’s mom, Shelley, Tim Pearce, Mary Jo Tillery, Bobie Hendrickson, Wanda Rose, Brenda Firestone, and Marsha Brown are among those remaining on our prayer list.

We’d love for you to join us for praise and worship tomorrow if you don’t have a place to be. May God bless you wherever you worship.
