Bethlehem Baptist Church

God continues to bless Bethlehem Baptist Church in a mighty way. He has provided the funds for us to be debt free. Our building loan has been paid off and we celebrated with a Note Burning Ceremony following the morning service on Jan. 26. Praise God for His love and blessings.

Congratulations to our new Miss GMA, Hayley Maxwell and Jr. Miss GMA, Sara McGee. Also, Mr. Galilean, Hunter Havens and Jr. Mr. Galilean, Trey Havens.

The WMA is sponsoring “Girl’s Just Want To Have Fun” Soup and Salad Luncheon Feb. 22. Ladies are invited.

This past Sunday we were blessed to welcome into our Bethlehem family Bruce and Darlene Hall and Casey McClendon.

Bethlehem is again supporting Life Choices “Change For Life” campaign. Don’t forget to pick up your baby bottle and fill it with change, currency, or checks. Bring to church for collection by Feb. 16. Last year we raised $1,800 — let’s top that this year!

If you are looking for A place to worship, we invite and welcome you to visit with us at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Holland Baptist Church

Brother Chad Brandon has been preaching outstanding messages sent from God to Holland Baptist Church. Every Sunday we receive a new needed word from the Lord. We are growing spiritually and numerically under his leadership. He leads in-depth Bible studies on Sunday and Wednesday nights. He also teaches the median adult Sunday school class. We feel very blessed to have him as our pastor and living in Holland.

There have been changes made in the Wednesday night leadership team. Betsy Petty is now the coordinator of the activities. Diane Cummings is the youth director. Julie Lustre, Delores Haynes, myself, and Betsy are the teachers. I am in charge of the music with Rochelle doing the technology. Several ladies under the direction of Nina Johnston and Janie McGaha feed the Wednesday night group. Bobby Haynes and Todd Wells alternate nights driving the church van with Julie Lustre on board as the adult rider.

Kellie Martin is leading a ladies Bible study “Lord Teach Me to Pray,” by Kay Arthur. The first session began Feb. 10 at 5:45 p.m. with food and fellowship followed by the study at 6:15. The ladies met at my home for the first session.

There will be a pancake breakfast fundraiser at the church Sunday, Feb. 16, at 8:30 a.m. The children and youth will be in charge of this under the direction of Diane Cummings. Proceeds will help fund the trip to Winter Jam and Cold Springs Camp tuitions.

The deposit for the Spring Time Jubilee in Branson April 16-18 is due tomorrow. Krista Mauldin is the coordinator for this trip.

The men’s fellowship breakfast is in the morning at 7:30 in the fellowship hall. The men still compliment chefs Bobby Haynes, Richard Johnston, and Ronald Pearce for their tasty presentations. No one ever leaves hungry I’m told.

Preparation for the Week of Prayer and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering are being made. Pam Freyaldenhoven is our missions director.

We continue to pray for our pastor’s wife, Shelley, David Garrett, Wanda Rose, Mary Jo Tillery, Brenda Firestone, Marsha Brown, Bobie Hendrickson, Robin Damron, Chrissy Johnston, Ronnie Milam, Mary Drysdale, Shelley’s mom and many others.

We invite you to join us at Holland Baptist if your looking for a place to learn and worship in a warm fellowship. Have a blessed Sunday wherever you worship.
