Sanson begins campaign for County Treasurer

Posted: January 25, 2014 - 3:57pm

Scott Sanson, a Faulkner County resident, has announced his intent to seek the office of County Treasurer in 2014. Currently Sanson is the Fiscal Director for the Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands office, where he has been on staff since 2003. He was previously employed with First Security Bank and Merrill Lynch.

Sanson has said that he running for the office because he “wanted to give back to his community and work for the citizens of Faulkner County.”

His experience includes budgeting and forecasting, governmental accounting, management, banking and legislative audit. If elected Treasurer, Sanson would maintain the office’s accountability and transparency as well as be a fiscally conservative steward for the county.

Sanson received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Central Arkansas in 2000 after graduating Vilonia High School in 1994. He currently resides in Vilonia with his wife Autumn and their three children, Ridge, Jett and Sage.

.

W H Sanson was county judge(1957-1958). Interestingly enough, W H Sanson had served as county treasurer before that (1953-1956). Good question though.

Also State Representative

He also served as State Representative for many years following his time as County Judge. I'm not sure of the years but I believe it reached all the way into the 1990s.
