Conway Regional Medical Center, in partnership with the Arkansas Health Connector, will host a Health Insurance Enrollment Fair on Wednesday from noon until 6 p.m. The event will be held at CRMC, located at 2302 College Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
“We’re pleased to join the Arkansas Insurance Department and the Arkansas Health Connector in hosting a health insurance education and enrollment fair,” said CRMC President and CEO Jim Lambert. “This is an opportunity for our citizens to get information and enrollment assistance.”
Those attending the event can learn about their health coverage options and get enrollment assistance from licensed guides. In addition, attendees can learn about the new type of tax credit to assist with insurance premiums.
To enroll in health insurance through the new Health Insurance Marketplace, a person must be between the ages of 18 and 64, live in the U.S., and must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully present. Anyone who plans to enroll should be prepared with:
• Birthdate and Social Security Numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants) for each member of household
• Employer and income information for every member of the household (for example, pay stubs, W-2 forms, wage and tax statements)
• Policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of the household
“This event is a great opportunity for citizens to enroll in the new Health Insurance Marketplace, and I encourage anyone who doesn’t have health insurance to attend,” Lambert said.
