Posted: December 9, 2013 - 7:02pm

Hendrix alumna Ann L. Turney will return to her alma mater to serve as Director of Leadership Gifts, effective in January 2014.

In her new role, Turney, a 1975 Hendrix graduate, will be responsible for working closely with alumni and friends to secure significant philanthropic commitments that support the mission and goals of the college. Her arrival comes as the college works toward completion of a strategic planning process that has helped the college chart an ambitious course that builds upon its position a national leader in engaged liberal arts and sciences education.

“Ann Turney has an impressive record of accomplishment at the College of Pharmacy, she’s widely respected by her colleagues, and she possesses the unique skill set we were seeking for this important position,” said Dr. Kevin Braswell, vice president for development. “As a graduate and longtime supporter, she also understands the College’s rich history and will bring a high degree of credibility to her work as an ambassador and fundraiser for Hendrix. We are thrilled to welcome her home.”

Turney previously worked for Hendrix for 20 years in a variety of alumni relations, communications and development roles. She was Assistant Vice President for Advancement and Director of Alumni and College Relations at Hendrix before joining the University Of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College Of Pharmacy in 2005 as Director of Development, where she was responsible for all areas of development in the College of Pharmacy, including leadership gifts.

“I am pleased to have been given an opportunity to return to Hendrix at this exciting time in the College’s history,” said Turney.

“I look forward joining the Advancement team in working to meet the needs of this remarkable place.”
