Pancake breakfast may be postponed

Posted: December 5, 2013 - 1:31pm

If roads are passable, the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Program will hold their annual Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction this Saturday, Dec. 7.

However, if roads are not passable, the event will be postponed until Saturday, Dec. 14.

If the Breakfast is held this Saturday, but due to the weather the attendance is poor, the silent auction will continue throughout the following week. This determination will be made Dec. 7.

Anyone interested may contact the Senior Citizens Center at 327-2895 to find out whether the auction has been extended.

Many items have been donated this year, including a 32” Samsung flat screen TV, a Blu-ray player, small kitchen appliances, paintings and wall décor, Christmas trees, jewelry, gift baskets and much more.

There will also be a raffle for two hand-made quilts — a Razorback quilt made by Lollie Horn, and a heart quilt made by Elois McCaghren, with the assistance of several ladies from Mayflower.
