Greenbrier schools were on lockdown for about an hour this afternoon in response to a “domestic situation.”
Faulkner County chief deputy Matt Rice said that schools were closed as a precaution after the “domestic situation” because of concern that someone might try to improperly pick up a child.
“We’re in the clear now,” Rice said at about 3:45 this afternoon. “This was purely precautionary. We did not want [the domestic situation] leading off into the schools.”
All Greenbrier School District schools were placed on lockdown, Rice said, including the Wooster Elementary School. “If they shut one they shut them all as a precaution,” Rice said.
