Realtor Michelle Parsley of RE/MAX of Conway - Team Parsley is the recipient of the 2013 Women in Business Diamond Achievement Award for serving as Faulkner County’s best selling real estate agent.
The Diamond Achievement Award is presented to a woman who inspires and empowers women across all generational lines.
"This recipient has impacted those in her profession and community for a multitude of years both personally and professionally," said Brad Lacy, president and CEO of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce. "She is a trail blazer and a visionary. She is iconic and a true woman in business."
Since 2005, Parsley has held the title of No. 1 selling agent in the county for residential sales.
"Many have said she sets a whole new standard for realtors being a multimillion dollar producer," Lacy said.
During her career, Parsley has sold more than $650 million in real estate sales with more than $14.6 million being sold since January 2013.
Each year Fletcher, co-owner of Fletcher Smith’s Jewelers, handcrafts a 14 karat gold pendant to be given away to the Diamond Award recipient. The pendant is set with over one and a quarter carats of black diamonds in the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce logo.
"Fletch and I are thrilled to do something again for the women in our community who work so hard to make our community as successful as it is, and I'm not doubting you men, I'm just saying we play our part too," said Sherri Smith, co-owner of Fletcher Smith's Jewelers.
In a speech upon recieving the Diamond Achievement, Parsley thanked her husband for bringing her to Conway saying she came kicking and screaming that she'd never sell a house "in this little bitty town."
"God brought us here, and we knew that, and the people here are all winners because we have all been blessed in this community," she said.
Parsley said Conway reminds her of Philippians 2:4 which says, "Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."
"If we all do that we will all be successful for that, and I always try to remember we have an audience of one and that is our Lord Jesus Christ," she said.
