VILONIA — A Beebe man was killed Tuesday morning in a fatal accident involving a motorcycle and two vehicles.

Vilonia police say Michael Green, 35, was traveling on U.S. 64, on a Kawasaki motorcycle, when a 2005 Chevrolet pickup turned onto the highway from Stanley Road in front of Green’s motorcycle. Police said the driver of the pickup did not see Green or the motorcycle.

Much of Arkansas, including Faulkner County, was under a dense fog advisory for much of Tuesday morning.

The motorcycle Green was operating struck the side of the pickup and continued into the other lane where it struck another vehicle.

Green died from injuries sustained in the accident, which occurred around 5:40 a.m., police said. No citations have been issued.

According to Arkansas State Police fatal crash summaries, there have been 441 other fatalities on Arkansas roads this year.

yes

Under normal conditions, it probably would be a citation. However, visibility was near zero yesterday at 5 to 6 a.m. This was just a tragic accident that maybe have been prevented only if someone had stayed home.

Thoughts a prayers for the family of both involved.
