Payroll Vault of Central Arkansas has had the highest growth and sales out of all Payroll Vault franchises in the United States.
“It’s unique here because a lot of people have been trying to do it themselves for so long,” said Justin Story, payroll consultant. “We get a lot of business from people who have been outsourcing. They see the value in savings and customer service.”
Laura Hanlon owns the cloud-based payroll service provider on Hogan Lane. Hanlon was recognized for her franchise’s achievements with the Business Achievement award at the company’s first annual Franchisee Conference.
As a CPA, Hanlon was doing payroll when she heard about Payroll Vault, and realized the value of providing payroll services to central Arkansas businesses.
“She is very small business-centric,” Story said. “When she saw the opportunity to provide an affordable service she jumped at it.”
Payroll Vault provides online payroll systems as well as workman’s compensation and a labor posters program to small to medium sized businesses.
“We’re trying to bring big business service into the small business arena allowing people to do what they do best which is build their small business instead of worrying about payroll,” Story said.
Jim Slagle, owner of Hyla Systems, an air and room purification system sales and distribution company, uses Payroll Vault for employee tax forms and paychecks.
“Prior to, I used to do all my payroll myself, and it would consume several hours of my work week,” he said.
Slagle has five employees who file wages as W-2 and 10 employees who work for commission sales.
“If I were to take my hours that I spent and converted it to [Payroll Vault of Central Arkansas’] pay, it’s cheaper to have them do it,” he said.
Gena House, owner of The Preschool House, said as a small business she didn’t have many payroll options, but Payroll Vault of Central Arkansas has enabled her employees to simply log in and out of a computer.
“I think a small business owner would benefit from Payroll Vault it’s easy to use and we have greet access to help when we need it,” House said.
Being a localized franchise, Payroll Vault of Central Arkansas doesn’t have a call center.
“When you call a specialist in Conway we give you one on one personal service,” Story said. “The people know your business. You’re not just another number because we hire local people without outsourcing services.”
House said overall the system as been a huge help because it relieves her workload as a business owner.
“Instead of spending countless hours, they outsource to us so it frees them up to build their business or spend time with family instead of doing work related things,” Story said.
