Seventeen-year-old Taylor Fischer reigned over the festivities at Phillip Weaver Stadium Friday night after being crowned the 2013 Vilonia Homecoming Queen.
The crowning event was held Friday afternoon with both junior high and high school students present. A senior, Fischer is the daughter of Charles and Dina Houben.
While the crowing was a highlight, the crowd also responded with clapping and cheering when football player Houston Cotton, who was injured in play about a month ago, came onto the field, being pushed in a wheelchair, and serving as an escort for candidate Hannah Schnebelen. Cotton has been hospitalized since the injury requiring surgeries. He was released from the hospital earlier in the week.
The court included Senior Attendants:
Kyndal Clower, the 17 year-old daughter of Kevin and Terry Clower and Hannah Schnebelen, the 17 year-old daughter of Eric Schnebelen and Cindy Williams.
Kelsey Howard, the 16 year-old daughter of David and Tracy Howard and Skylar Wolfe, the 16 year-old daughter of Jim and Jenny Bartlett.
Ashton Duvall, the 15 year-old daughter of Tony and Melanie Duvall and Bayley Trautman, the 15 year-old daughter of Karl and Regina Trautman.
