CORE Performance Company will come to the University of Central Arkansas for Conway’s ArtsFest on Oct. 3.
Free performances are set for UCA’s Alumni Circle, in front of Old Main Hall, at 6 and 6:30 p.m. and 8 and 8:30 at Simon Park as part of Conway’s ArtsFest.
CORE members will dance in conjunction with Jen Lewin’s “The Pool” at UCA and Chandelier Harp at Simon Park.
Joining CORE in its ArtsFest performances will be dancers from Blackbird Academy and Hendrix College and clients from Independent Living Services (ILS) in Conway and Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled (AEDD) in Little Rock.
“UCA is excited to partner with CORE Performance Company on this ArtsFest project, which uses the arts to shine a positive light on people of all abilities, including individuals with developmental disabilities,” said Dr. Gayle Seymour, professor of art and associate dean of the UCA College of Fine Arts and Communication.
