Holland Baptist Church
I was unable to attend Sunday services but was told that Brother Chad Brandon delivered a wonderful message in the morning service. Sunday night he began leading a time of revival as he preached in Searcy at his former home church. In his absence Brother John Evans JR came back to fill the pulpit. I was told he did a great job and got “wound up” which is his usual style of delivery. Those attending were happy to reconnect with him but missed Susan who was out of town.
Immediately following the morning service the ladies of the church gathered in the fellowship hall for a surprise housewarming for Jeannette Hegi. She is happily getting settled into her new home. We are so happy for her and her new surroundings and comfort!
Our youth and children’s groups are bursting in number and exciting activities! Diane Cummings is doing an awesome job shouldering the responsibility of keeping us on task and focused on our purpose with these young people. Some of the youth, accompanied by three adults, will be going on a mission trip soon. We’re thankful for every child whose lives we get to touch.
On Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. is the time set for a song and fellowship service. Everyone is invited to share a song, poem, testimony, or special scripture. This will be followed by a meal of beans, fried potatoes, cornbread, and desserts. Join us for this joyful event.
We continue to pray for Bobie Hendrickson who received a good report from her doctor this week, Chrissy Johnston, Shelley Brandon, Jim and Marilyn King, John and Sue Evans, Brenda Firestone, and many others.
We would love for you to join us to see what God is doing at Holland Baptist Church. Have a blessed Sunday!
