The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office’s findings on an inmate escape that occurred at the county jail in August will be released next week.
Sheriff Andy Shock said Monday he hoped to finalize and release the investigation’s findings some time this week, but said Thursday it would not be completed in time.
Shock said Monday that he had reviewed the investigation file late last week, but also wanted input from Major John Randall, who oversees detention center affairs, before finalizing the report.
Shock said the day of the escape that policies and procedures were not followed by staff, which allowed for the escape.
Shock confirmed Monday that no detention staff was placed on leave as part of the investigation.
Jonathan Jackson, 24, Joel Vermillion, 27, and Stacy Wilson, 41, all escaped from the Faulkner County jail, located at 500 S. German Lane, on Aug. 17 and were apprehended in the next several days.
