The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office said the man recently spotted on a game camera in the Greenbrier and Guy area is Christopher Gotcher, who was arrested Tuesday.
Gotcher, 32, is charged with breaking or entering and theft of property, the sheriff’s office said. Court documents show Gotcher was also charged with violation of a domestic order of protection.
Authorities asked for community help Aug. 30 after a resident’s camera captured a photo of a man on his property around 1:58 p.m. on Aug. 28. Chief Deputy Matt Rice said the resident placed a camera on his property after having his home previously burglarized.
The sheriff’s office thanked the community for helping identify Gotcher as the suspect.
If convicted of breaking or entering, a class D felony, Gotcher could face up to a $10,000 fine and six years in prison. Gotcher’s theft of property and violation of a domestic order of protection charges are class A misdemeanors. Each charge carries up to a $1,000 fine and one year in prison, if Gotcher is found guilty.
Court documents showed no date for Gotcher’s arraignment.
