There will be a public information meeting Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. concerning a proposed planned unit development at 101 Hubbard near Carl Stuart Middle School and Marguerite Vann Elementary School.
The meeting will take place at the Conway Public Library at 1900 Tyler Street.
The developer will be presenting the proposal for a 26 lot single family patio style home development. The issue is expected to be on the agenda for the Sept. 16 Conway Planning Commission meeting.
At the planning commission meeting Oct. 15, 2012, the commission denied a PUD at 101 Hubbard Road nine to zero.
According to the meeting minutes, Chris Thornton was planning to build 67 townhomes at that time. They would be renting out the townhomes, and some were concerned many students would move in.
Traffic congestions was another concern considering the property is near two schools.
The new proposal shows a decrease by 41 unities — from 67 to 26.
