University of Central Arkansas student, writer and country rap artist, Bailey Scott, has signed a recording contract with Nashville-based Average Joes Entertainment.
The AJE roster contains many well-known country acts, such as Colt Ford, Montgomery Gentry and the Low Cash Cowboys.
A Lakeside High School alumnus and 2014 graduate candidate at UCA with a degree in Digital Film caught the attention of AJE CEO Shannon Houchins. Mr. Houchins saw a You Tube music video, “City Lights” which Scott produced and performed under the name Cap Bailey.
Scott spent several weeks this summer in Nashville recording for a planned album release in the fall of 2014. Production of the music was a collaborative effort with Phive Star Productions working alongside Houchins, and guitarist Mike Hartnet formerly of the group Rehab. A planned release of a music video is due out this spring with touring dates to be determined and announced at a later date to support the release of the album.
At least one song will be included on the AJE Mud Digger 5 album due out next July. The 2013 Mud Digger 5 album has been as high as number 8 on Billboard top country album chart, three weeks since release.
