A Conway district school bus wrecked on South Donaghey Avenue near Stanley Russ Road at around 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.
Minor injuries were reported, but no one was transported for emergency medical care according to Officer Sean Canady, assistant public information officer for the Conway Police Department.
Canady said the school bus was northbound on South Donaghey when it exited the roadway to the right.
The bus struck a driveway culvert and came to rest in a ditch near the intersection of Stanley Russ Road.
Canady said the speed of the bus at the time of the accident is not yet known. Conway District Superintendent Dr. Greg Murry said no students were seriously injured.
Canady and Murry did not know the cause of the accident at press time Wednesday, and Canady said the accident is still under investigation.
There were around 54 students on the bus when it wrecked, Canady said.
Canady said injuries included “bumps and bruises.”
