A Conway district school bus wrecked on S. Donaghey near Stanley Russ Road at around 4 p.m. today, according to police. Officer Sean Canady said there were minor injuries.

A Conway district school bus wrecked on South Donaghey Avenue near Stanley Russ Road at around 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

Minor injuries were reported, but no one was transported for emergency medical care according to Officer Sean Canady, assistant public information officer for the Conway Police Department.

Canady said the school bus was northbound on South Donaghey when it exited the roadway to the right.

The bus struck a driveway culvert and came to rest in a ditch near the intersection of Stanley Russ Road.

Canady said the speed of the bus at the time of the accident is not yet known. Conway District Superintendent Dr. Greg Murry said no students were seriously injured.

Canady and Murry did not know the cause of the accident at press time Wednesday, and Canady said the accident is still under investigation.

There were around 54 students on the bus when it wrecked, Canady said.

Canady said injuries included “bumps and bruises.”

They don't make either like they use to

Shorty Lybarger and real "Dave Ward" bus would have still made it to their destination on time.

There have been comments on the actual site that she was in her cell phone. I know the driver personally.
She wasn't. They are lucky to have a quick thinker. If she had hit the lady in front it could have been way worse. Everyone needs to quit assuming the worse and imagine for one second that she did the right thing.
