Katie Henry, interim general counsel for the University of Central Arkansas, will resign effective Sept. 30, 2013. Henry has worked at UCA since July 2008.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to have worked with Katie Henry for the last five years,” UCA President Tom Courtway stated. “She has performed her job with integrity and with the best interests of UCA at heart. She has been instrumental in the development of many important policies, has assisted all of our departments and divisions, and worked with the Board of Trustees and me in many capacities, and all in all has been a great help in making UCA what it is today. Her advice and counsel have been great assets to me. She will be missed. I am very happy for Katie, her husband, Shane, but most importantly for her son.”
“Although this has been a very difficult decision, I have decided to leave the work force in order to spend more time with my family,” Henry said. “I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work for the University of Central Arkansas during the last five years. The staff and faculty have been wonderful colleagues, and I have thoroughly enjoyed serving the students. I will deeply miss working at UCA, but I am excited to start this new chapter in my life.”
