The Conway Planning Commission will consider phase two of the Village at Hendrix at their meeting Monday.
The major preliminary plat was approved by the commission in Nov. 2012, but since then the Village at Hendrix and Hendrix College have decided to revise the plat.
A new plat will be submitted as a minor plat approvable by the city’s planning director.
The minor plat shows a street lot that will be used as a private drive to get to a parking area in the beginning. Later, the parking lot will be replaced with commercial structures and a public street will be constructed.
The planning commission does not need to vote on the abandonment of the Nov. 2012 plans according to the subdivision ordinance.
The ordinance does allow a new minor plat to be submitted for planning staff review and approval. If approved, the approval will be reported to the planning commission.
Village at Hendrix staff will meet with the commission’s subdivision committee to answer any questions. The subdivision committee has a meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. before the regular planning commission meeting.
The Conway Planning Commission will meet Monday night at 7 p.m. at 810 Parkway.
