Pedestrian hit by vehicle remains in serious condition

A Conway man, hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning on McNutt Road, is listed in serious condition, according to Baptist Health Medical Center.

The man, 75, was airlifted to the Little Rock hospital for observation, according to the Conway Police Department accident report.

The driver of the vehicle, which hit the elderly man, told police she was southbound on McNutt Road when she passed two vehicles northbound, felt “a thump” on her passenger side and “thought she had perhaps struck the man in the roadway,” the accident report states. The woman told police she noticed the man “on the edge of the roadway” before passing him.

The 24-year-old Conway woman was cited for carless and prohibited driving and also for having an expired license.

Conway police spokesperson La Tresha Woodruff said there are no other charges pending at this time agains the woman.
