Officers were dispatched to the business in reference to a damaged lock on the store's dumpster.
According to the Conway Police Department incident report, the city's sanitation department advised the employee to make a report because the dumpster is city property.
The officer noted in the report he had stopped people in the alleyway before who were in the dumpster looking for items to put into a flea market.
The employee advised the store started locking the dumpsters because the people going through them would not place the unwanted items back in the dumpster and he would have to pick up the trash every morning.
