Faulkner County is among a slew of counties bracing for another bout of wintery weather, according to a Hazardous Weather Outlook advisory from the National Weather Service in Little Rock this morning.
The forecast calls for sunshine today, but wind will start to kick up.
Winds are expected to increase to 10 to 15 miles per hour this afternoon with gusts near 20 miles per hour in most of Arkansas.
On Thursday, snow and sleet rolls into the area. Faulkner County could briefly see sleet, according to the report.
Weather officials expect a storm that could mean snow, sleet and a mix for especially for northern Arkansas. Snowfall could be as much as 2 inches near Missouri.
The service advisory said the forecast remains uncertain.
"This is a complex scenario," according to the advisory. "The forecast will be fine tuned as more data is received and the picture becomes more clear."

This is the worst groundhog we've ever had.
Groundhog
It's what's for effigy.
I ordered some groundhog from Lonnie but I got Cpt Beefheart & Magic Band instead.
We continued to see wintry mix but it remained light..
There continued to be brief periods of light sleet and snow thru late Thursday Evening. In the Guy area between 3 and 7pm Thursday, we saw a dusting to near 1/2 inch of snow on grass and exposed areas. This was mostly wet snow that melted almost as quickly as it fell. Precipitation changed to rain during the evening. A warm front will move in for Friday, this will continue rain, and might set the stage for thunderstorms Saturday thru Saturday Night. No severe weather is currently expected, but a few strong storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and locally heavy rain. Rain will end by Monday Morning. Stay tuned to your weather sources for the latest.

I'm gonna
egg Ed Buckner's house for telling us it was OK to take out the house plants already. If only I knew where he lived and could throw an egg further than my shadow.
